Myton Coventry Hospice
Scope of Work
Hinckley Plumbing & Heating Services Ltd were proud to deliver a major mechanical upgrade at Myton Coventry Hospice, transforming the building’s heating and hot water infrastructure with a modern, energy-efficient solution designed to support both comfort and sustainability.
Working to the detailed specification provided by Rob Berridge Heating Design Consultants, our team removed outdated components and installed a highly efficient 160kW air-source heat pump cascade, comprising ten external units. This new low-carbon technology significantly reduces the hospice’s reliance on fossil fuels while providing consistent, reliable heating across all areas of the building. The new system integrates seamlessly into the existing plant via a DN250 low-loss header, upgraded primary pipework, a vacuum degassed unit and water treatment equipment, ensuring long-term system stability and performance.
To maximise energy efficiency, we introduced a full suite of advanced controls, compensation sensors and BMS-ready infrastructure, enabling the hospice to benefit from intelligent temperature management throughout the year, supplied by project partners GoGeo and wired by London Electrical.
The result is a future-proofed mechanical system that supports Myton Hospice’s vital work by delivering improved comfort, reduced energy consumption, and greater operational resilience. This project reflects our ongoing commitment to helping organisations transition towards greener, smarter, and more sustainable building services.
